Arroyo Seco Network of Timebanks

The Arroyo S.E.C.O. Network of Time Banks (ASNTB) is a local exchange system designed to inspire trust and reciprocity. It is a collective working towards empowering the community by facilitating cooperative trade. Time Banking is built on the idea that each of us has unique gifts, talents and resources to share and that everyone’s time is equal. The ASNTB aims to encourage systemic social change and economic equality. More information can be found at asntb.com

Community Supported Micro Loans

Picture
The Community Revolving Loan Fund (CRLF) supported community revitalization by providing community-supported, low interest micro-loans of $500 to $5,000 to eligible Time Bank members to build their small businesses. As an experiment in complementary currency, the loan fund utilized both federal dollars and time credits. The fund loaned federal dollars to ASNTB members through a credit union, while members paid associated loan fees for processing in time credits.
